What No Meat Today costs

The app is free to download and free to keep using — not a trial, not a countdown. There is a paid unlock on top of it, and this page is what it adds and why it exists.

Free, forever

Everything the app is actually for. Answer Naomi's daily question, attract cows for your meat-free days, keep the whole history, and watch the planet fill up. Your data syncs across your devices through your own iCloud account, and you can export all of it to a file you keep, at any time, for nothing.

I used the app myself for two and a half years before publishing it, with less than the free version gives you today. It is enough to change how you eat.

Two of these do real work — logging several meals a day, and editing days you missed. The rest is the collecting and tinkering layer, which is the part people either love or happily ignore.

How it's sold

Two shapes: Solo, or Family for 2 to 6 people sharing one purchase. Within those, plans run from weekly through monthly and quarterly to yearly, and there is a one-time Lifetime purchase that never renews.

I'm not printing prices here. They differ by country, they move, and I run different offers at different times — a number on this page would eventually be a lie. The sheet inside the app and the App Store listing are always current.

Why it isn't all free

Because the app costs money to exist: an Apple developer account, devices, software, a domain and a website, an accountant, taxes, and the 5% I give to charities — all before a penny reaches my family. Goodwhale is one person, and that person is me. The more the app makes, the more of my time goes back into it.

If the price is the problem rather than the principle, write to me — I have never turned down someone who asked, and students get 50% off.

Restoring, codes and refunds

Restoring a purchase on a new phone, redeeming a promo code, sharing with family, the student discount, and how refunds work are all answered on the support page.
